Tempane Constituency NDC retains incumbent Chairman

Mr. Prince Atan Iddriu, Incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman of the Tempane Constituency of the Upper East Region has been retained for the next four years.
Mr Prince Atan Iddriu polled 644 votes to beat his only competitor in the race, Hon. Ayaaba Anyelsim, who polled 228 votes.
For Secretary position, Mr Komone A. George secured 608 votes to beat Mr. Suleiman who had 271 votes while Mr Mbilla polled 502 votes to win the Organizer position ahead of Mr Abubakari who had 383votes.
The other elected executives include:
Mr Bawa Benjamiin Saniid , Deputy Organizer,
Mr. Sumaila, Youth Organizer,
Mr John Awam, Deputy Treasurer,
Mr Rauf was elected Deputy Youth Organiser and Mr Nang Bari as the Youth Representative or other Youth.
The rest are, Mr Benn who pulled 548 votes to win the Communication Officer ahead of Mr. Sarko who had 325.
The Other eight include Mr. Hassan Zibrim, Mr Salifu Assibid Titus, Mr. Ali Karim, Mr. Imoro Saniid Tanimu, Mr. Abdul-Razak Abdulai, Hon. Akparibo Davidi, Mr. Osman Nurudeen Anyan and Mr. Akparibo Moses Asaan. The other two were lost to the Election.

The Rest of the  other Executives  went unopposed.

The Chairman thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him and the other executives and promised to work in union with other structures of the party to ensure unity and victory in the 2024 general elections.

He appealed to members of the party to bury their differences and support the new leadership of the party to strengthen it and ensure its success in the constituency.
About 900 delegates were expected to cast their votes and was supposed to start at about 8:00am but due to the late arrival of election materials, the voting finally begun in the hours of 4pm and ran into the night.
