One lady was jailed for making the wrong transfer as a Mobile Money agent.
According to her, she sent the customer GH¢30,000 when she should have sent GH¢3,000.
When she later realized she had made the wrong transfer, it was too late to correct the mistake. And as a result, her employer arrested her.
Due to her failure to return the money, along with a failed attempt to get the customer to reverse the transaction, she was sent to court and imprisoned.
In a very sad video, the lady who was a popular MomO agent in Afariwa in Tema Golf City was sobbing uncontrollably.
She added that her employer was not ready to compromise and that all the demands fell through. She had to spend two and a half years behind the cold walls of the prison. She would also have to pay the money if she was eventually released.
After sharing her story, it took the leniency of Crime Check Ghana to release her.
