Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku remained on the bench as his club Sporting CP beat Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions League.
Sporting CP went into the match as a determined team, especially when playing at home. Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku remained on the bench at the start of the game.
Both teams made various efforts to win, but it was not enough to change the outcome of the match as the first half ended fruitlessly.
Sporting CP came back hoping to bounce back in the second half and that saw the light of day in the closing stages of the match.
Paulinho gave Sporting CP the lead in the 90th minute. When it looked like the game was over, Gomes finished off Sporting CP’s second goal in deep stoppage time. Tottenham Hotspur could not come back as the game ended with two goals to Sporting CP.
