Spanish midfielder Gavi has signed a new contract with Barcelona until 2026 with a €1bn (£865m) release clause.
The 18-year-old has been playing for Barcelona since 2015 and had a contract until 2023.
He made his first team debut in August 2021 aged 17 years and 24 days, becoming the fourth youngest player in the club’s history.
Gavi has started all of Barcelona’s La Liga games this season.

He became the club’s third-youngest goalscorer when he netted against Elche in December 2021.
The former youth product has also been an important player for Spain since making his debut in October 2021, becoming the youngest player to represent his country at full international level.
He became the youngest goalscorer for the national team when he scored against the Czech Republic in June – aged 17 years and 304 days – breaking the record set by Barca teammate Ansu Fati in 2020.
