CAF CL: We have to fill the stadium on Sunday
Asante Kotoko board member, Evelyn Nsiah Asare, has called on supporters of the club to fill the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 18, when Kotoko host RC Kadiogo in a CAF Champions League match.
The Porcupine Warriors on Monday claimed a crucial away win to boost their chances of qualifying for the next stage as they traveled to Benin to beat Kadiogo 1-0 in the 1st leg of the CAF Champions League 1st preliminary round.
Youngster Isaac Oppong scored the equalizer in the 92nd minute to help the Porcupine Warriors to a big win in Cotonou.
The second leg is now in sight and the 1-0 result secured instilled confidence in many Kotoko fans who had no hope of the team qualifying for the next round.
In an interview with Nhyira FM in Kumasi, Mrs Evelyn Nsiah Asare expressed concern that Kotoko’s home venue could prove tricky.

But she emphasized the importance of fans filling the stadium during games.
He is therefore urging fans to turn up at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday and serve as the number 12 man.
“What I fear is the fact that the second leg is at our home ground because if you are unlucky and they [Kadiogo] score one, you could be in trouble.

Kotoko have not qualified for the group stage of CAF’s top level interclub competition since 2006.
