A 14-year-old candidate who was sitting for the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examinations at Barekese in Atwima Nwabiagya North District was forced to defecate at one of the examination centres.
The boy, a student at Fufou D/A Junior High School, was reportedly rejected in an earlier call by the supervisor to participate in nature’s call during the exam.
Unable to contain himself, the boy finally calmed down in the center and cut his exams short.
In an exclusive interview with OTEC News, Kwame Agyeni, the Chairman of Fofuo Rockson Ntiamoah Constituency Unit Committee, confirmed the incident and described it as disturbing.
They accused the teacher of Barekes Senior High School, whose part of the invigilators at the center denied the boy to go outside claiming that the candidate could go to get foreign material in the examination center.
“His plea to be able to respond to the call of nature was rejected by one of the Barekese SHS teachers who was also this year’s BECE tutor at the examination centre.
The student’s family vowed to take action against the teacher.
